VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Laser Ranging Sensor

The VL53L0X is a cutting-edge Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging module, offering precise and accurate distance measurement capabilities. Encased in the smallest package available in the market, this module performs reliably across various target reflectances, surpassing traditional ranging technologies. With the ability to measure distances up to 2 meters, the VL53L0X sets a new standard in performance, unlocking a wide range of applications.

This module features a SPAD array (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) and leverages ST’s second-generation FlightSense™ patented technology. The module’s 940 nm VCSEL emitter (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) is invisible to the human eye and, combined with internal infrared filters, ensures longer range, higher resistance to ambient light, and enhanced robustness against optical crosstalk through cover glass.
