Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor

The capacitive soil moisture sensor measures soil moisture levels using capacitive sensing, which offers greater durability compared to traditional resistive sensors. Made from corrosion-resistant materials, it ensures a long service life. Simply insert the sensor into the soil around your plants to monitor real-time moisture levels. The sensor features an onboard voltage regulator, allowing it to operate within a 3.3V to 5.5V range, making it ideal for use with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers. However, when using it with a Raspberry Pi, an ADC converter is required. The sensor is also compatible with the 3-pin “Gravity” interface and can easily connect to the Gravity I/O expansion shield, enhancing its versatility for various projects.
